alfodrs-forge
Welcome in Alfǫdr's Forge, the premier engineering arm of the Eldhrímnir Collective (an bithero subsidary). Here, the greatest artisans of all of midgard come together to weave, smith and construct mighty and powerfull processors and hardware, which all of Yaggdrasil's many branches will tell legends of, for generations to come!
At the beating heart of the Forge stands the mighty and powerfull the Drakrúni ISA, which is always at work providing the most balanced mix of both RISC and CISC worlds! It will not bow down to any one's wicked path but rather will march continiously forward, creating it's own unique path through the myths of technology.
Next in line is the Vé and Nidavellir platforms, mighty bollworks that combines various hardware components into an fluent and alive-feeling cogwork, showcasing the Forge's ability to bend primordial forces to their will.
The devices on this platforms are more commonly known together as Fafnir's Hoard, but each of them still tell an story worth listening to on their own:
-
The Dreka Series; consiting of primarily small, handsized devices ment for Entertainment from Histories greatest video games.
-
The Fjall Series; durable and rugged machines, perfect for building one's personal home within.
-
The Surtur Series; blazing, fiery giants of raw, unmatched power. They are godly fitted to run even the most complex task at full performance and scaleability.
Onto the fabric's woven by the most finest threads of code. At the core of it stands the Dvergr Firmware ensuring secure startup and an more than rock-solid foundation only Dwarven ingenuity can create, to build on even the mightiest of cities.
Next comes the Nidhǫgg Operating system, combining the kernel Rót and the system ABI Gnísta, to provide you with an strong root for all branches one might take to blossom from!
The tools of the forge
Each good forge needs an set of reliant and efficent tools, and Alfǫdr's Forge is no stranger to this core principle! Thus, there shall also be an mighty set of tools to choose from for building all of the smithys various elements:
-
Weaver: An performant compiler, more commonly known as the "Lapyst" programming language in the world of Midgard.
-
Etcher: The choosen Assembler of the Artisans of the Forge to efficently etch Drakrúni instructions into their purest form of an Rúnaskrá.
-
Binder: An state-of-the-kingdom linker to bind discrete instances of Drakrúni, bound in Rúnaskrá, to form a single entity of an Dvergr Mót, ready to be executed in any of the many devices presented above.
-
Sight-of-Fafnir: The debugger that allows even the highest of elves an deep and intricate look into the inner workings of their devices and woven threads.
-
Vé Mirror: An emulator for all those of you in Midgard witnessing this legend unfold, to test and run this all on your humble machines.
The versioning scheme
To aid ones knowledge of what they hold in their hands, Alfǫdr's Forge has enhanced and iterated many times on it's versioning techniques:
-
The steps of forging: Boiled and engraved in every swing, the fundametal knowledge every smith breathes in every moment while executing their craft. Examples: mikill Hiti, harðnaðr, sløkking, egg
-
Forgings: As every devine smith knows, only through rebirths and reforges the potential can grow! Examples: ... smíði; fyrsta, önnur, þriðja, and so forth.
-
Metals: The basic element of every forge, the metals it chooses to craft it's tools and weapons of choice. Examples: Járn, Brún, Stál, Silfr, Gull and Mýrill
